Bullet Resistant Doors — Frames, Doors, and Hardware Rated Together
The weak point in any ballistic glazing system is usually the door. We supply complete assemblies — frame + door + glass + hardware — UL 752-rated as a unit.
Door types:
- Aluminum — lobbies, government buildings
- Steel — high-threat environments, maximum protection
- Wood — looks like a regular interior door, concealed ballistic core
- All-Glass — frameless or framed, BR glazing throughout
- Acrylic/Polycarbonate — light transparent doors for pass-throughs
Levels 1 through 8 depending on type. ADA-compliant configurations. Auto-operator integration. Electromagnetic locks + access control. Transaction windows, intercoms, deal trays.
Common: banks, pharmacies, government, secure office suites, schools, courthouses.
FAQ
Q: How do I get a price?
A: Every project is quoted to spec. The $500 deposit reserves your spot and is credited in full to your final invoice, fully refundable if you don't move forward. Call (708) 800-7120 or use the 60-second quote form and most quotes go out same day.
Q: Aluminum vs steel vs wood vs all-glass?
A: Aluminum for commercial lobbies and government. Steel for the highest-threat environments. Wood when the door must look residential or interior — ballistic core is hidden. All-glass when the architect wants transparency.
Q: UL 752 — frame + door + glass rated together?
A: Yes. The frame, door, and glazing all carry the same UL 752 level. A Level 3 glass inside a Level 1 frame is a Level 1 system. We supply matched assemblies.
Q: ADA and auto-operator compatible?
A: Yes. ADA opening force, hold-open timing, and threshold heights all work with the ballistic assembly. Auto-operator integration available.
Q: Lead time?
A: Stock-level aluminum assemblies in 3-4 weeks. Steel and custom wood-core doors take longer — confirm at quote.
