Aluminum Bifold Doors — Folding Glass Walls That Open Your Whole Patio
If your contractor said you couldn't open a 20-foot wall, your contractor is wrong. Bifold panels concertina to one side. The wall disappears. The patio becomes part of the dining room.
We do these for restaurants, breweries, pool houses, and the occasional Lincoln Park brownstone that wants the great room to swing open.
3, 4, 5, or 6+ panel — pick by your opening width. 6+ goes to 40 feet, double-stack on request.
Top-hung is what you want unless your header can't carry the weight. Cleaner sightline, easier to operate, doesn't drag dirt across the floor.
One panel as a passage door so you don't have to fold the whole thing open just to step outside. Standard option, no upcharge.
System: thermally broken aluminum, 1" tempered IGU standard, multi-point locking, custom finishes, weatherstripping rated for commercial wind & water loads.
Lead time: 6 to 10 weeks. Hurricane/impact rated available.
FAQ
Q: How do I get a price?
A: Every project is quoted to spec. The $500 deposit reserves your spot and is credited in full to your final invoice, fully refundable if you don't move forward. Call (708) 800-7120 or use the 60-second quote form and most quotes go out same day.
Q: How many panels for my opening?
A: Pick by width: 3-panel up to ~12 feet, 4-panel up to ~18 feet, 5-panel up to ~24 feet, 6+ panels to 40 feet. Even-numbered panels stack tighter; odd-numbered let you use one as a passage door.
Q: Top-hung or bottom-rolling?
A: Top-hung if your header can carry the weight — cleaner sightline, easier operation, no track on the floor. Bottom-rolling when the structure above can't handle the load.
Q: Can one panel be a passage door?
A: Yes. Standard option, no upcharge. Lets you step through without folding the whole assembly.
Q: Lead time?
A: 6 to 10 weeks. Hurricane and impact-rated versions are longer.
