Frequently Asked Questions

Is laminated glass the same as tempered?
No. Laminated holds together when broken (because of the interlayer); tempered shatters into small safe pebbles. For maximum performance, the two can be combined.

Will laminated glass really block sound?
Yes — the PVB interlayer damps sound waves. A 1/4" laminated lite typically outperforms 3/8" annealed for noise reduction.
