Which fire rating do I need?
It depends on the assembly. Tell us where it's going (door, sidelite, stairwell, corridor) and we'll match it to your IBC requirement. Don't guess — improper specification can fail inspection.

Fire-protective vs fire-resistive — what's the difference?
Fire-protective glass blocks flame and smoke. Fire-resistive blocks flame, smoke, AND radiant heat — required when the assembly exceeds 25% of the wall. We carry both.

Can it be used in a regular frame?
No. Fire-rated glass MUST be installed in a rated frame assembly to maintain the listed rating.

Is it impact-rated for safety glazing?
Some products are dual-rated (fire + CPSC 16 CFR 1201). Tell us if you need safety-rated and we'll spec accordingly.
